The concept for this project was "living shapes" - the idea that even the most abstract shapes and lines can communicate and represent a whole variety of emotions and concepts. My goal for this project was to create a GIF series of abstract illustrations that take on a life of their own. Using various shapes, textures, colors, and lines to create individual abstract compositions, I then gave each element of the compositions their own individualized set of movements that help them come alive, hence the name "Living Shapes". This piece ended up having a lot of themes around growth, identity, and vulnerability. These pieces were created using Procreate. You can view the series below.
